We arrived at Oakland airport early so we could check in and relax before the departure. Murphy was having nothing to do with that. First, our bags were not checked in to Madrid, meaning we now have to collect our bags and check in to our next flight. Different terminals so not that easy. Second, the flight is delayed by at least an hour, so connection time is now a concern. Original connection of 3.5 hours is now less than 2 hours. Finally, they charged us for bags, which was supposed to be included.
